Elementary

The first PTO meeting of the new year will take place 9:15 a.m. Jan. 4 in Room 145.

In light of recent events, the district is engaging in more conversations about how to make the school a safer environment.

Weisenberg Elementary, along with other schools in the district, maintain a close working relationship with State Police Troop M.

Commander Lt. Paul Gaspich and Principal Marc Dobbs spoke about a plan to better acquaint troopers with the school.

State troopers have been checking the school from the exterior on a regular basis, but the school staff wanted them to come inside to familiarize themselves with the floor plan of the building and to meet some staff and students.

Uniformed state troopers will be walking through Weisenberg periodically over the next 30 days.

Their walk-throughs will last between 10 or 15 minutes and will occur at different times during the school day.
