Robert D. Williams Sr., 80, of Allentown, died Dec. 15, 2012, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Kathryn E. (Tonelis) for 36 years.
Born in Freeland, he was a son of the late Joseph Avigliano Williams and Renee (Newhard) Williams.
He was assistant director with the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, which later merged with Superfresh Markets, for 45 years, retiring from the Quakertown location in 1996. He had also been responsible for Hellertown, Easton, and Allentown locations.
He was a member of the Allentown Firemans Relief Association and was a life member of the Fearless Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Jr. and his wife Jill of Rollinsford, N.H.; two daughters, Deana and her husband Russel Held and Diane and her husband Frank Hawkey, all of Allentown; three stepsons, David and his wife Joy Kemmerer of Portland, Me., Richard and his wife Jeri Kemmerer of Vancouver, Wash., and Thomas and his wife Lisa Kemmerer of Coplay; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Falk; two brothers; and one sister.
Arrangements were made by Schisler Funeral Home Inc., Northampton.
