Prior to the Upper Macungie supervisors regular meeting Dec. 6, the board had a public hearing concerning the transfer of a liquor license into the township.
Attorney Theodore J. Zeller III made the presentation.
He said the license would be transferred from the former Charlie Brown's restaurant, Walbert Avenue, South Whitehall Township.
The recipient of the license would be Madeline's, to be located at 7801 Glenlivet Drive West, just north of Fogelsville.
Madeline's is owned by Nadine King of King's Restaurant Group.
The restaurant was previously located in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County, but was destroyed by fire and never rebuilt.
The owner proposes a casual, fine dining experience featuring American cuisine.
The building will be two stories with 11,000 square feet on the first and second floors, and 3,000 square feet in the basement for office space.
Each floor is anticipated to have seating for 100 with the second floor for banquets and parties.
There will also be an outdoor patio.
Supervisors approved the transfer of the license into the township.
