Clarence Roth and his sister, Margaret (Roth) Schantz celebrated their 99th birthday on Thanksgiving Day.
The twins, born Nov. 22, 1913, are the children of the late Frank and Annie Roth of Center Valley.
Margaret, who resided in Fogelsville, was married to Harold Schantz until his death on June 15, 1961.
She retired from K&M Sportswear, Allentown.
Clarence and Bertha Stettler married Sept. 26, 1936. They were together 69 years before she died in May 2006.
A farmer most of his life in the area of Schantz Springs, Clarence also worked for Walter K. Long Feed Mill in Chapmans until retiring.
He and Bertha lived in Germansville for 20 years in a home next to their daughter, Mae, and son-in-law Bill Fitzgerald.
The couple's other child is a son, Ernest, of Orefield.
Clarence has eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Great-granddaughter Rachael Evert died March 22, 1986.
The almost-centenarian siblings now live at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall, where they visit each other often.
Friends and family members, including nieces and a nephew, celebrated with the two at birthday party Nov. 24 at Cedarbrook.
Grandson Wayne even traveled from Orlando, Fla. to surprise him.
