Frank Kumernitsky
Frank Kumernitsky, 86, of Danielsville, died Nov. 21, 2012, at L.V. Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Nancy Lee (Schisler) Kumernitsky for 61 years.
Born in Hokendauqua, he was a son of the late Frank and Julia (Ferkovitch) Kumernitsky.
He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was in the Air Force Reserves and was recalled during the Korean conflict and the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He was a project manager and construction supervisor for houses, town houses, apartments and strip malls.
He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moorestown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Wayne "Chip" L. and his wife Sandra of Bath, Katherine L. and her husband Paul Grube of Bath, Donna L. and her husband Dr. Barry Sheridan, retired, U.S. Army, of San Antonio, Texas; Jean L. of Danielsville and Frank L. and his wife Suzanne of Danielsville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Julia Biondo of Valley Stream, N.Y., and Mary and her husband Alfred Fritzinger of Whitehall; a brother, Anthony Kumernitsky and his wife Mabel of Whitehall; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Michael; two sisters, Katherine and Anna; and a great-granddaughter.
Calling hours will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 6 and from 10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at Schisler Funeral Home Inc., 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund, c/o the funeral home.
