Egypt Memorial Park will be having its annual Christmas party on Friday, Dec. 14 at the park pavilion. This event is free and open to anyone with a current paid park membership for 2012. Pizza and soda will be provided. The park is asking a small donation of cookies or other bake goods to be brought along that evening to share.

Santa will be arriving on the fire engine to visit with the children. There will also be crafts, games and plenty of holiday music. Please RSVP to Kathy Warren at 610-262-3140.

The officers and board of directors of the Egypt Memorial Park send holiday greetings to the community.

The Laurel Fire Company is planning Operation Santa for the community and a Christmas party for the children of its members on Dec. 15.

Members can sign up their children for the Christmas party now. Anyone interested in having Santa deliver presents to their house that morning can drop off wrapped gifts complete with child's name and address anytime until Dec. 14.

Volunteers of all kinds are always appreciated at the Laurel Fire Company.

Laurel firefighters have been water training throughout the summer and are constantly updating their equipment which makes fundraisers and events necessary and worthwhile.

Feel free to stop down to check out the equipment and get involved. Station 40 is always looking for volunteers of all kinds, at the station and at the hall.

Polka nights are still being held every first, third and fourth Thursday of the month, 5-7 p.m. Also, fire company membership renewals are now being accepted.

For information about volunteering or about any of these events, call the club at 610-262-2077.
