There will be a congregational meeting Dec. 9 following the worship service at Morgenland Union Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield. Snow date is Dec. 16.

Morgenland will be selling ornaments for its Remembrance Tree to help defray church heating costs.

Ornaments are available in red, blue, green, silver, gold balls and gold stars.

To purchase ornament, call the church at 610-395-9402.

Morgenland will be hosting many events in preparation for the celebration of the coming of Baby Jesus on Christmas Eve.

Church members are invited to help bake cookies 6 p.m. Dec. 7

All ages are welcome.

If you are unable to assist, the church is accepting donations to help defray the cost of cookie dough.

Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus will take place 8-10 a.m. Dec. 8.

There will be games, stories and singing with the children.

Kids of all ages are welcome.

Members will meet at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 9 to package baskets filled with cookies and candy to be taken to KidsPeace.

Pizza will be served to the helpers.

To volunteer with the baskets, call Judy at 610-398-1292.

The Sunday School Christmas program will be presented Dec. 16 during the church service.

Students will remain in church that day. There will be no Sunday School classes.

Christ's Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, is presenting its Christmas pageant 7 p.m. Dec. 16.

The Blessings Shop, at Christ's Church at Lowhill Food Pantry, needs household items, such as towels, bedding, small appliances and kitchen goods.

The pantry will post pictures of furniture and arrange contact between the individuals, if you want to donate something.

The pantry, which is gathering information from parents concerning gifts for their children, would like to provide each child with three gifts.

There are 130 children registered so far. Please consider helping to make Christmas great for these kids.

Once again, Lonnie Damiano is providing stockings filled with goodies for the kids.

The Weisenberg Lowhill Historical Society, 4590 Werleys Corner Road, Weisenberg Township. will be having its annual Christmas celebration 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 15 at its headquarters.

There will be cookies and quarts of soup sold on a first-come, first-served basis; wreaths and swags by Lyon Creek Farm Market; hot dogs, lemonade, hot chocolate and coffee available 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The store will be open to buy historical society items.

The Big Guy in the red suit will make an appearance for pictures.

There will also be children's holiday crafts and ornament making.
