Local residents honored

Kara Eichelberger and Elizabeth Krall, both of Whitehall, were honored Nov. 9 as university scholars at Susquehanna University.

Eichelberg, a 2009 Whitehall graduate, is a senior majoring in biology.

She is the daughter of Paul and Kristine Eichelberger.

Krall, a 2010 graduate of Whitehall, is a junior majoring in music education. She is the daughter of Douglas and Deborah Krall.

To be named a university scholar, a student must have earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.75 in full-time study for the past two semesters or equivalent credit hours of part-time study.

Danner honored for achievement

Cody Danner, of Northampton, was one of 319 students recently recognized for academic achievement at the 2012 Thiel College Honors Convocation Nov. 2.

This annual event honors students for scholarship and academic achievements from the previous academic year. Danner's achievements include the Graf/Obenauf Scholarship.

Danner is a sophomore.
