Thomas W. Unger, 67, of Northampton, died Nov. 2, 2012, in Lehigh Township as a result of an accident due to cleanup from Hurricane Sandy. He was the husband of Connie S. (Rohr) for 39 years.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Stephen J. and Rose (Paukovitz) Unger.
He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Lafayette College, Easton, and a master's in business administration from Rutgers University, Camden, N.J.
He was senior vice president of production at Zinc Corporation of America, Palmerton, for 24 years before retiring in 1998.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David S. of Northampton and Daniel T. and his wife Bridget of Yorkville, Ill.; two brothers, Stephen and his wife Melanie Unger of Northampton and John Unger of Macungie; and a granddaughter, Annabel.
