Hilda Kohut, 82, of Whitehall, died Nov. 4, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Stephen Kohut for 60 years.

Born in Ormrod, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Johanna (Steltzman) Malits.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, and of its Altar and Rosary Society.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Joanne and her husband Lawrence "Jake" Romanell of New Market, Md.; two grandchildren, Angela Gladhill and Louis Romanell; three great-grandchildren, Madeline and Mason Gladhill and Sheldon Romanell; and a niece, Rosanne Venditto.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Jennie Halper and Rose Venditto.
