Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, will have a holiday craft and quilt show 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 17.
The festive, free admission event features more than 60 juried crafters with a wide variety of handmade items for sale, just in time for seasonal gift-giving.
The crafts include an eclectic mix to appeal to anyone's special needs or interests, such as handmade purses, crocheted apparel, hand-woven baskets, cards and paper products, jewelry, LED bottle lamps, and homemade candy.
Approximately 60 quilts from the Kutztown area will be displayed and available for purchase.
The day begins with breakfast offerings of fresh sticky buns and breakfast quiche.
Under the leadership of Chef Terry Hoffman, the kitchen crew will prepare four different kinds of soup, roast beef barbecues, sausage sandwiches, cabbage and noodles, pasta salad and apple raisin pudding with special rum butter sauce.
Ten percent of the proceeds will be directed to a local food bank.

The Evangelism Committee and youth group of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will host an Italian night 5-7 p.m. Nov. 10 to benefit the Miracle League and the church.
Organizers plan an evening with wonderful ambiance and a tasty dinner of spaghetti with homemade sauce, meatballs or sausage with peppers, bread, salad, dessert and beverage.
Meatless sauce and gluten-free pasta will be available. Eat in or take-out.

Union UCC, Neffs, will host a Thanksgiving service 7 p.m. Nov. 21 for the Schnecksville and Neffs communities with a theme taken from Psalm 126: "May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy."
The traditional hymn, "Bringing in the Sheaves," will provide images of Thanksgiving for the service.
Refreshments will be served afterward. An offering will be taken for the food bank administered by Agape New Testament Fellowship church, Schnecksville.

Boy Scout Troop 144 is having a spaghetti dinner and basket social from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 17, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 145 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station.
Menu includes pasta with assorted sauces, salad, bread, dessert and beverages.
Tickets will be available at the door. Take-out will be offered. The basket drawing will be conducted after the dinner.
