Geraldine K. Dorwart, 58, of Northampton, died Oct. 17, 2012, at Muhlenberg Hospital, Bethlehem.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John and Arlene (Saylor) Hawkey.

She was a certified nurse's assistant. She was also a CNC operator for Victaulic, Forks Township, and was a brakeman on the railroad.

She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Annikah Jane Merhi; a grandson, Trystan Dane Merhi; five sisters, Bonita Youwakim of Germansville, Judith Hawkey of Catasauqua, Karen Ruch of Whitehall, Susan and her husband Robert Stahler of Catasauqua, and Patricia Stettler of Northampton; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Denise M. Merhi; and sister, Jacqueline Kuchera.
