A postscript to last week's community Halloween parade hosted by the Coplay Recreation and Welfare Association: Second and Chestnut streets were packed solid with children and their parents, The dry yet comfortable weather made it an enjoyable experience for those in the parade and spectators.

The huge American flag from America Fence in Whitehall drew loud cheers along the parade route The Discover Whitehall float with Christopher Columbus aboard a small ship was applauded. While the figure had a Donald Trump mask affixed to it, only a discerning eye could notice who the figure was.

There was an abundant amount of live music on the parade route, including the Whitehall High School Marching Zephur Band, the East Hills Middle School Band from the Bethlehem Area School District, the Shriners Oriental Band and the Wind Gap Drum and Bugle Corps.

Coplay Saengerbund again fed those in the parade and others at its pavilion with hot dogs, birch beer and potato chips.
