Kudos to our volunteer firefighters, who are talking to children about fire safety this month. Friday, North Catasauqua Fire Department volunteers will help conduct a fire safety program at Sheckler Elementary School. The firefighters spend the day at school, talking to students about being safe and how to escape from a fire. Arriving at the school in firefighting gear, they make a strong impression on the children.

Our thanks to them for all they do for the community.

The food bank also urgently needs canned and dried foods. Drop off donations at the food bank, or at St. Andrew's and St. Lawrence churches in North Catasauqua.
