MS, HS Happenings

The Northwestern Lehigh Educational Foundation will be having its second annual sporting clay fundraiser Oct. 21 at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays, Coplay.

The event will be followed by lunch in the clubhouse. There will also be coffee and a light breakfast before the event.

The public is invited to Cyber Safety Night for Parents in the high school auditorium 6-8 p.m. Oct. 25 to hear guest speaker FBI Special Agent Cerena Coughlin.

She will tell parents how to keep children safe online.

Not all of the content will be appropriate for younger children.

Come join the fun at Germansville Fire Company 9-11 p.m. Oct. 20 to hear comedian Jimmy Carroll. Doors open at 8 p.m.

The proceeds benefit the Northwestern Lehigh boys and girls basketball teams.

Middle School

Picture re-take day is on Oct. 17. Students who were absent when the original photos were taken will have the opportunity to have their photos taken that day.

There is a PTO meeting scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Oct. 19. Check with the office to determine where the meeting will be held.

The sixth, seventh and eighth grade fall social will be 7-9 p.m. Oct. 19. Activity doors open 7 p.m.

Students are not allowed to leave earlier than 9 p.m., unless prior permission has been received from the school office.

There will be a DJ playing in the cafeteria and the gymnasium will be open for basketball.

Other activities include ping pong, and RockBand will be available in the hallway.

Talent show try-outs will take place in the auditorium 2:30-5 p.m. Oct. 23.

High School

The high school band will host the Tournament of Bands Fall Pageant of Champions 6 p.m. Oct. 13 in the stadium.

This event will feature marching bands from Catasauqua, Blue Mountain, Whitehall, Reading, Pocono Mountain East and Northwestern Lehigh.

High school picture make-up day is Oct. 17. Students who did not have their photo previously taken, will have the opportunity to do so.

PSSA make-ups for 12th grade students will be Oct. 22-Nov. 2.

Parents of seniors may put their child's baby ad in the 2013 high school yearbook by visiting the school's website and opening the PDF brochure on the high school home page.

All baby ad requests must be received no later than Oct. 31.
