Just a reminder! Heidelberg Union Church, in conjunction with the Miller-Keystone Blood Bank, is having a blood drive 3-8 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Northwestern Ambulance Corps, Route 309, New Tripoli.

On Oct. 20, Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irvin Road, Heidelberg Township, is having a lip-smacking pork and sauerkraut supper in fellowship hall.
In addition to lots of tender pork and juicy sauerkraut, this meal also includes potatoes, homemade breads, desserts and beverages.
Limited seating times are 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The church welcomes everyone to come to its new contemporary praise and worship service 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month.

Cash and carry! Central Grange 1650 of Germansville is still taking orders for its famous and oh-so-sweet, shoofly pies.
Contact Harold at 610-767-4400 to place your order by Oct. 26.
Pies will be ready for pick-up in the downstairs social hall of the Germansville Fire Company 1-5 p.m. Nov. 4.
All proceeds from the fundraiser are given back to community residents or local organizations in need.

Frightfully fun night! No tricks but lots of treats will be offered to those daring enough to come in costume 7 p.m. Oct. 26 to the Germansville Fire Company.
Together with the 2000 Club Ticket drawings, the firehouse will host a huge Halloween Night in the downstairs social hall.
Monetary prizes will be awarded for the best and most creative costumes.
Costume judging (by the way of an inside parade) will take place promptly at 8 p.m. In costume or not, you don't want to miss these silly and scary sights.
The kitchen will also be open for supper offering lots of hometown favorites. So, bring your family and tell your friends to come out for a bite to eat.
And don't forget to save the date for the big final drawing of the 2000 Club ticket on Nov. 3.
In addition to free refreshments, a tasty platter of hot roast beef with filling and vegetable will be offered to each ticket holder, beginning 6 p.m.
