Ebenezer UCC bazaar on Oct. 13

Ebenezer UCC, New Tripoli, hosts its annual bazaar Oct. 13.

There will be a huge flea market, homemade baked goods, soups, chow-chow, jams and more. Crafts created by Ebenezer's Handiworkers and quilted items made by the Ebenezer Quilters will be highlighted.

The Book Nook will feature hundreds of used books by today's favorite authors and kids' books, too.

The silent auction will run 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and have at least 75 items including 30 gift certificates from area restaurants and businesses.

The Kitchen Café will be open all day serving baked goods, soups, sandwiches and dessert.

Ebenezer's clothing closet will be open 6-8 p.m. Oct. 18, and 10 a.m.-noon Oct. 20. Free clothes are available for the entire family.

Take as much as you need. Clothing donations are not being accepted at this time.

Albany Township Historical Society will host guest speaker David L. Valuska, who will discuss "Pennsylvania Germans and the American Revolution" at the Oct. 22 meeting at 404 Old Philly Pike, Kempton.

The meeting, which will start 7:30 p.m, is free and open to the public.

Jacob's Church, Lynn-port is having its annual oyster supper 4-7 p.m. on Nov. 3. Eat in or take out is available. There will be homemade patted fried oysters, oyster pies, stews, french fries and pickled cabbage.

The bake sale includes Jacob's Church famous lemon strip pies.
