LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Still in season

Autumn may be the season for mums but, in the 2300 block of Main Street, A 12-foot sunflower plant with multiple flowers is attracting a lot of attention. Residents John and Barbara Pedersen marvel at the sunflower, which they did not plant. It grew in a small plot in their yard, probably from a seed produced by the much smaller sunflower that grew there last year. At first, the Pedersens said, people in the neighborhood watching it grow thought it could be a tomato or some kind of vegetable. However, it surprised everyone.
