Citizens Fire Company, Slatedale, has received a new fire truck.
Chief Blaine Horn attended a recent Washington Township supervisors workshop to ask the board to maintain insurance on the old truck until it was sold. The request was denied by supervisors.
A motion was made and passed to place guide rail along Bottom Road to keep vehicles from crashing into a trailer in Fox Mobile Home Park.
Resident Alan Sotak requested lines be painted on Bottom Road and Oakview Drive.
This work will be added to the painting job.
A motion was made and approved to purchase a new computer for the zoning office.
"No trespassing" signs were placed along newly purchased property where the quarry is to stop swimming in the quarry.
The signs allow state police to prosecute offenders.
One township truck will not pass inspection and will be replaced through the state Co-stars program.
Although the pavilion at the covered bridge along the Slate Heritage Trail is on township property, it is within the borough limits.
Solicitor John Ashley will contact the borough to apply for a building permit and inspection.
At the regular board meeting on Sept. 4, the Clause lot-line adjustment plan for Christmas Lane will combine three lots into one. The land is in the rural district. Conditional approval was given, subject to meeting the engineer's comments.
The bid for ultra-low-sulfur diesel for 10,000 gallons and gasoline for 2,000 gallons at a cost of $42,069 went to Atlantic Coast Energy of Fleetwood, pending a check of the numbers. Lehigh Fuels submitted a bid for $42,840.
