Learn about the plant lore of Christmas from Rexine Krause at the next Catasauqua Garden Club meeting 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3.

The Garden Club meets at the Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua. Items for judging should be in place by 12:45 p.m.

Santa won't be there but if you have been bad boys and girls, the Belsnickle just might be in attendance with a switch and a feather tree! All are welcome.

Looking for something fun to do this Saturday? Head on over to the Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association's Fest-O'-Fall, set for noon-5 p.m. Activities take place at the Biery House, 8 Race St.; the George Taylor House, Lehigh and Poplar streets; and throughout Catasauqua's Main and Front streets.

The Heart and Sole Relay Team will hold a dance this Saturday at the American Club in Coplay.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. There will also be a Chinese auction and a 50/50 drawing.

The event is BYOB with soda, water, chips and pretzels provided. The kitchen will be open.

Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
