In 2002, Gloria Zimmerman approached people with interest in past eras about forming a historical society and having a festival.
She offered to help by donating the Zimmerman's Hotel, once owned by her late father Sterling, to the fledging society.
The 2002 festival was an open house.
2003: A parade took place from Seipstown to Leather Corner Post to celebrate the 250th anniversaries of Weisenberg and Lowhill townships.
2004: The garden created by Boy Scout Benjamin Beitler was dedicated and hex signs were added to the barn.
2005: A picture book was created with old pictures from the two townships.
2006: The Northwesterners Band had a musical reunion. There were milking and Therapy Dog presentations.
2007: A cookie contest was held and churches were featured with each one having a stand.
2008: There was a one-room school reunion with each having a tent.
2009: Community organizations talked about what they did.
2010: Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Company came for the first time. People displayed their hobbies and collectibles.
2011: Hausman coverlets and their history were on display. The Society sponsored a trip to Harrisburg.
2012: Bachman family is highlighted.
