Violet Mae Bochrowski, 92, of South Whitehall Township, died Sept. 9, 2012, at Lehigh Center - Genesis Elder Care, Macungie. She was the wife of the late John Bochrowski.

Born in Ruchsville, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Bessie (Strauss) Bertsch.

She worked for the Quaker Shoe Factory, Allentown, for many years before retiring in 1982. Prior to that, she worked for Trojan Farms, South Whitehall Township.

She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall.

She is survived by a daughter, Marie and her husband Gerald Gehris of Allentown; three brothers, John and his wife Carolyn Bertsch of Orlando, Fla., Clinton and his wife Helen Bertsch of Walnutport and Ernest Bertsch of Schnecksville; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Ira and Charles Bertsch; and a sister, Joyce Krick -Berk.
