St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, will hold Applefest 2012 on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There will be games, food, contests and bingo. Child ID kits will be available from the Catasauqua Police Department. And, of course, there will be apples!

The Catasauqua Club, 226 Pine St., will serve brunch on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to the public and is non-smoking.

It will be an all-you-can-eat buffet with omelets made to order. Buffet food to be served includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, home fries, French toast, creamed chipped beef (SOS), crepes and various breakfast pastries, along with coffee, tea and orange juice.

Reservations are not necessary but highly suggested.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Fourth and Pine streets, will hold an old fashioned hymn sing on Sunday, Sept. 23, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The community is invited.

Singing will consist of old favorites as well as special music.

Autumn treats will be served after the hymn sing. Invite your family and friends and let's sing.
