DUI

Rebekah Wakeman, 24, of Bethlehem, was arrested for DUI on Brookside Road at Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 2:34 a.m. Aug. 25. Wakeman was stopped for traffic violations and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Robert Henry, 31, of Lower Macungie, was arrested for DUI on Schoeneck Road at Alburtis Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:03 a.m. Aug. 26. Henry was stopped for traffic violations and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Timothy Reichwein, of Locustdale, was arrested for DUI on Interstate 78 westbound, at mile marker 55.3, Salisbury Township, 7:32 p.m. Aug. 29. Reichwein was allegedly found to under the influence of drugs and in possession of 102 packets of heroin.

Ashley Malesky, 21, of Allentown, was arrested for DUI on Interstate 78 eastbound, just east of Cedar Crest Boulevard, 1 p.m. Aug. 31. Malesky's vehicle was struck by a hit and run driver in a white tractor trailer and responding officers allegedly found her to be driving under the influence.

Travis Frantz, 23, of Slatington, was arrested for DUI on Kernsville Road at State Route 100, Lowhill Township, 10:54 p.m. Aug. 31. Frantz was stopped for traffic violations and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Michael Segovis, 27, of Phoenixville, was arrested for DUI on South 6th Street at Chestnut Street, Emmaus, 12:04 a.m. Sept. 1. Segovis was allegedly found to be driving under the influence during a traffic stop.

Jeremy Hepburn, 29, of Alburtis, was arrested for DUI on Rolling Meadow Drive at Woodbridge Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 12:23 a.m. Sept. 1. Hepburn was stopped for traffic violations and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Robert Ratemo, 34, of Allentown, was arrested for DUI on State Route 222 at Interstate 78 east, Lower Macungie Township, 1:05 p.m. Sept. 1. Ratemo was stopped for traffic violations and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Patricia Compton, 46, of Allentown, was arrested for DUI at Wawa, 4900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 3:39 a.m. Sept. 3. Compton was allegedly intoxicated when she pulled in the parking lot.

Aggravated assault

Michael Kovalick, was charged with aggravated assault in the 2000 block of Pembrooke Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 4 p.m. Aug. 28. Kovalick allegedly threw a knife at the victim and struck him in the right arm.

Criminal mischief

An unknown actor scratched the hood of a vehicle in the 4900 block of Liberty Lane, Lower Macungie Township, between 6 p.m. Aug. 18 and 6 p.m. Aug. 17.

An unknown actor scratched the passenger side of a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 5 and 5:30 p.m. Sept. 1.

An unknown actor threw a rock through the rear driver's side window of a vehicle parked on Par Causeway, Lower Macungie Township, between 10 p.m. Sept. 3 and 6 a.m. Sept. 4.

Harassment

Angelica Boyer, of Trumbauersville, was charged with harassment and criminal mischief in the 2000 block of Pine Tree Road, Lower Milford Township, 1:23 a.m. Sept. 1. Boyer allegedly punched and slapped one victim in the head and chest and struck a second victim in the head and face before breaking a glass dinner plate, serving bowl and three glass drinking glasses. The estimated value of the damaged items is $50.

Michael Brobst, 45, of Macungie, was arrested for harassment in the 2100 block of Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 11:24 p.m. Sept. 1. Brobst allegedly struck his girlfriend in the face after an argument.

Joel Fenstermaker, 39, of Macungie, was charged with harassment in the 3700 block of Knight Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 12:09 a.m. Sept. 3. Fenstermaker allegedly threatened to physically assault the victim while at a party.

Retail theft

Kevin Hanisco, 45, was charged with retail theft at Giant, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 2:23 p.m. Sept. 5. Hanisco allegedly took $77.39 worth of merchandise.

Theft

Daniel Kanya, 20, of Perkasie, was accused of taking jewelry from a bedroom while living with the victim in the 1100 block of Grange Road, Lower Macungie Township, between Aug. 25 and 31. Kanya allegedly took several chains, gold pendants and earrings with a total value of $2,570. The investigation is ongoing.

An unknown actor fraudulently used a Macungie resident's Paypal account to purchase items on Ebay Aug. 31.

An unknown actor stole a wooden "peace pipe" from a 10-foot carved statue of a Native American in front of Jasper Park, 4960 Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, between Aug. 1 and Sept. 1.

An unknown actor stole an iPhone left in a restroom at Dunkin Donuts, 4777 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, between 11 a.m. and noon Sept. 2.

Theft from a motor vehicle

An unknown actor stole a black iPod and a black TomTom GPS unit from an unlocked vehicle in the 3700 block of Notch Street, Lower Macungie Township, between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 25 and 8 a.m. Aug. 26. The stolen items have a total value of $200.

Burglary

An unknown actor broke into a residence in the 4700 block of Sydney Close, Lower Macungie Township, between Nov. 24, 2011, and May 30. The actor pried a door open and stole four pieces of jewelry.

An unknown actor burglarized a residence on Valley Stream Lane, Lower Macungie Township, between Aug. 28 and 31. The actor stole multiple jewelry items.

Receiving stolen property

A stolen Pennsylvania license plate was recovered from a vehicle involved in a traffic stop on Hamilton Boulevard at Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:53 a.m. Sept. 5. The plate was placed in the vehicle by unknown means.

Access device fraud

An unknown actor stole a Macungie resident's checks and used them to make various purchases March 19. The actor used two different checks to make two separate purchases.

False ID

Nico Santigao, 22, of Allentown, was arrested for presenting false identification to law enforcement on State Route 100 northbound, just north of Spring Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:05 a.m. Sept. 2. Santigao, a passenger in the vehicle, was allegedly intoxicated and presented the officer with identification indicating he was under the age of 21.

Jonathan Vu, 18, of Macungie, was charged with presenting false identification to law enforcement and underage drinking in the 5700 block of Stag Drive, Emmaus, 12:06 a.m. Sept. 3. A 17-year-old male, also charged with underage drinking, was allegedly hosting a loud party at the residence. Numerous individuals fled the scene in vehicles and on foot upon the arrival of state troopers. Vu allegedly gave officers a false name and address when he was informed he was being charged with underage drinking.

Resisting arrest

Karl Bader, 31, of Walnutport, was arrested for resisting arrest at The Family Institute, 923 Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5 p.m. Aug. 30. Troopers responded to a domestic call at the location and Bader allegedly refused to comply with trooper's commands. Bader was physically forced to the ground and taken into custody.

Fatal motor

vehicle accident

Zheng Li, 22, of Tianjin, China, was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the Interstate 78 eastbound ramp from Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 5:36 a.m. Sept. 4. Li was walking east across the ramp from Hamilton Boulevard at the time of the accident. A Jeep Cherokee driven by Zachary Edwards, 19, of Allentown, was traveling up the ramp and was unable to stop in time. Li was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where she was pronounced dead as a result of multiple traumatic injuries. The Pennsylvania State Police, Lehigh County District Attorney's Office and the Lehigh County Coroner's Office are investigating the incident and anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
