The Zephyr Fall Book Fair will be held Monday through Friday, Sept. 10-14.

Meet the Teacher Night at Zephyr will also take place during that week, on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

PTO meeting: On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the PTO will meet at the Zephyr Elementary School building. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.

Steckel online book fair: Now everyone can support students at Steckel Elementary, even if they can't attend the actual book fair. They may purchase books for the kids or for their classrooms directly from Scholastic.

All purchases made from the link will be credited directly to Steckel's Scholastic account. In addition, the books will get shipped free directly to Steckel and will arrive within seven to 10 business days from the end date of the fair (Sept. 28).

Parents should watch for information being sent home with students.

PTO parent orientation: Zephyr Parent Orientation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 7 to 8 p.m.

It will be held in the Zephyr lunchroom. Parent volunteers who will be taking part this school year are asked to attend.

PTO Market Day: If you haven't tried Market Day, check it out online.

Market Day offers a huge variety of frozen foods that are similar in cost to shopping at the grocery store or warehouse club. You can place your order online at www.marketday.com.

Elementary physical education: Elementary students are reminded to wear appropriate clothing and sneakers on their designated gym days.

Students who are not properly prepared will be unable to participate in gym class. Students will also lose points toward their preparation grade.

If your child is under a physician's care due to an injury or illness, a release form is needed to resume participation in gym class. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
