Parents are asked to dress their child appropriately for the fall weather. Mornings are often cool with warm afternoons.

Students are coming to school without jackets. Physical education classes go outside in the morning, and some classrooms take a morning break for fresh air.

If a student does not have a sweater or jacket, they are not always able to participate.

Many children also come to school with flip-flops on at this time of year. Be aware that wearing flip-flops on the playground equipment is not safe.

If your child enjoys using the playground equipment, be sure they wear proper shoes.

Northwestern Elementary

There will be a Partners In Education meeting 9:30 a.m. Sept. 7. Check with the office to find out where the meeting will be held.

Open houses at the schools arw scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Sept. 13. Parents are invited to visit the school and the classrooms their child attends.

English as a Second Language Parent Night will be 6 p.m. Sept. 18 in the NWE library.

Weisenberg Elementary

There will be a PTO meeting in room 145 at 9:15 a.m. Sept. 7.

Online Market Day orders are due by 11 p.m. Sept. 12. Delivery of Market Day orders will be 5:30-6:15 p.m. Sept. 18.

Open house will take place from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 13.

Parents are invited to stop by and visit with their child's teachers.
