Collin Cox

Q: What grade are you in?

A: I recently graduated from 12th grade.

Q: What was your favorite subject? Why?

A: My favorite subject was social studies. It was my favorite because I love learning about the past and how things happened so you do not make those same mistakes.

Q: Did you receive any special awards or recognition?

A: I received scholar athlete for golf.

Q: Were you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: I played on the high school's golf and teams and was part of the Hornet ambassador program.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: I am attending Cornell University for a major in computer science.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: So far my biggest challenge was staying motivated senior year. I was accepted into college in late October [2011] and it was very difficult for me to continue to work hard and to continue to get good grades as the year progressed.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I want to be remembered for being a carefree easy going student that succeeded in all my endeavors in high school.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: Cherie Burke and Todd Cox are my parents, I have a younger sister Kelsey who is a junior, and I have a 1-year-old soft-coated wheaten terrier named Reilly.

Q: Do you have someone you look up to?

A: I look up to both of my parents. Through all the adversity they both have dealt with and the problems they have handled and where they are now has shown me anything is possible as long as you're determined and hardworking.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: My advice for my peers is that anything is possible as long as you are hard working and willing to do the required work.
