Sylvia A. (Minich) Snyder, 90, formerly of Nazareth, died July 31, 2012, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Luther J. Snyder.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Jane (Clayton) Minich.

She was an organist for St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall, for 25 years and for Faith Lutheran Church, Forks Township, for 14 years before retiring.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Nazareth.

She is survived by a daughter, Lynette J. and her husband Kevin Shutts of Moore Township; a son, Lowell D. Snyder of Mill Hall; a sister, Joyce Althouse of Lititz; four grandchildren, Stan and Richard Snyder and Craig and Katie Schutts; and two great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Kory Snyder.

There will be a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Aug. 18 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 835 Third St., Whitehall.
