A Christmas in August basket social will take place Saturday, Aug, 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St.

It will benefit Wreaths Across America for Cedar Hill Memorial Park on Airport Road, Allentown.

This event is intended to raise money to help pay for wreaths to be laid on all the approximately 2,600 veteran graves at Cedar Hill Memorial Park on Dec. 15. The organization of Wreaths Across America has placed 325,000 wreaths worldwide.

It's that time of year! St. Mary's Preschool, 122 Union St., is now accepting registrations for the 2012-13 school year.

The 4-year-old class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 11:30 a.m and the 3-year-old class meets Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
