Ardyth H. Howells, 79, of Whitehall, died July 29, 2012. She was the wife of the late John Howells Sr.

Born in Fullerton, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Esther (Carr) Hoch.

She worked at Western Electric. She owned and operated Howells' Floral and Mall Florist until 1983.

She is survived by three sons, Paul and his wife Sharon of Whitehall, John Jr. and his wife Cindy of Whitehall, and Tim and his wife Debbie of Slatington; four grandsons John III, Andrew, Matthew and Scott; and two granddaughters, Kate and Megan.
