Russell H. Kramer

Whitehall Fire Department volunteer

Russell H. Kramer, 69, of Whitehall, died Oct. 2, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenburg. He was the husband of Karen (Symons) Kramer.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Herman A. and Grace E. (Hartung) Kramer.

He was a 1975 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He was an electrician for Albarell Electric and IBEW local 375 for 39 years before retiring in 2019.

He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Egypt.

He was a volunteer firefighter for Whitehall Fire Department Station 39 for 26 years and continued as an honorary member beginning in 2018. He also served as a longtime trustee. He was also on the board of directors for Egypt Memorial Park for 30 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Ryan of Whitehall; a daughter, Kristy Gessner and husband Shane of Nazareth; and three granddaughters, Grace, Sophia and Carly; two sisters, Renee Beidleman of Northampton and husband Kim and Carol Wolfe of Texas and husband Charlie; a brother, Kevin of Phoenixville and wife Linda; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a calling time 8:30-10 a.m., followed by a funeral service 10 a.m., Oct. 8 at the church, 4331 Main St., Whitehall.

Contributions may be made to Egypt Memorial Park, 4548 Main St., Whitehall, 18052.
