Northampton: Parade set for Oct. 15
The annual Jack Frost Parade, sponsored by Northampton Exchange Club, will begin 7 p.m. Oct. 15, starting at the fire station, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive.
From there, the parade will turn left onto Smith Lane, then a right turn at Laubach Avenue. Proceeding north on Laubach Avenue past the community center and high school, the parade will then take another left onto 19th Street and then a left turn onto Main Street. Traveling down Main Street, the parade will finish back on Lerchenmiller Drive.

Reminder: Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will hold its meeting Oct. 14 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Doors open 11 a.m. Maria Santacoloma will speak about changes in health insurance.
All members and visitors are invited to attend.
Also, a bus trip to Hunterdon Hills is planned for Nov. 17. The group will leave 10 a.m. and return 8 p.m.

Trick or treat in the borough is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31. Residents planning to hand out treats to the costumed kids are asked to turn on their porch lights.

Northampton Area School District community education’s fall schedule has begun with water aerobics with Susan Roberts. Classes are held 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 10 in the Northampton Area Middle School natatorium. Come experience a low-impact workout that is kind to your joints. The instructor will explain all the exercises in the water and utilize pool noodles, water dumbbells and water belts to get a total body workout.
There will be no classes Oct. 13, 15. The makeup dates will be Nov. 12, 17, 19.
Participants do not need to be NASD residents to join but must be at least 15 years old. Get your doctor’s approval before starting any exercise program.
