The Salisbury football team fell to 1-2 with a 48-7 loss to Notre Dame (Green Pond) last Friday night at Lafayette University.
The Falcons fell behind 42-0 in the first half and were behind 48-0 before a fourth quarter score ended the shutout.
Crusader quarterback Tommy Murphy completed 11 of 13 passes for 297 yards and six touchdowns in the win. Jonathan Striba had three catches for 113 yards and three touchdowns for Notre Dame.
Game statistics for Salisbury were not received by the Press.
The Falcons take on both of last year’s District 11 Class 3A finalists over two weeks as they host Northwestern this Friday night.
The Tigers, which beat Notre Dame for last year’s district title and have played in three straight state title games, are 3-0 this season with wins over Valley View, Scranton Prep and Bangor, which they beat 56-7 last Thursday.
