Bath: Rummage sale set for Oct. 2, 3

Christ United Church of Christ, 109 S. Chestnut St., will be holding its annual rummage sale 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 2 and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 3 in the fellowship hall. There will be many treasures to be found.

There is additional parking available across the street in the municipal lot.

Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church, 1433 Main St., will host a basket social 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 3.

The drawing will take place 2 p.m.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will hold its annual blessing of the animals service 4 p.m. Oct. 4.

The church asks you leash your pet(s) or bring them in a cage/crate.

Invite your neighbors and friends. This is a community activity that is open to anyone who would like to have their pets blessed.

Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Road, will resume holding its all-you-can-eat breakfasts 8-11 a.m. Oct. 4. All your breakfast favorites will be served.

Children under 5 years old eat for free.

Iglesia Pentecostal Church Food Bank, 2459 E. Scenic Drive, is open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. every first and third Monday for the public. It will be Oct. 5 and 19 this month.

Bath Lions Club meets the first and third Wednesday of each month. The next meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at My Place Pizza, 270 E. Northampton St.

Bath Area Food Bank will be distributing food Oct. 13, starting around 9:30 a.m., on the lower level of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St. Do not arrive before 9:30 a.m. due to safety reasons.

Christ Church UCC will be holding its annual quilt show 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 17 and 1-3 p.m. Oct. 18. There will be more than 50 quilted items on display.

The drawing is 3 p.m. Oct. 18. You need not be present to win.

Come see the wonderful display of both old and new quilts that tell stories of origin. If you have an old or new quilt that holds a special place in your home and would like others to enjoy it, call the church office at 610-837-0345 or Sharon Schrantz at 610-837-1555.

There is a small admission fee, and the kitchen will have light refreshments.
