Shopping passes for Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends fundraising event are here. You will enjoy a discount of up to 25% on in-store purchases 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Oct. 21 and a chance to win a Boscov’s gift card.

The passes cost $5, and 100% of this donation goes to the library.

Storytime and craft is set for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 25 and Oct. 9 and 23. Registration is not required.

We will be showing “The Brave Little Toaster” Sept. 26, “Charlotte’s Web” Oct. 10, “The Fox and the Hound” Oct. 24 and “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” Oct. 31. Movies will start 11 a.m.

The library is collecting items for Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative Food Pantry Oct. 1-Nov. 30. Place donations of canned/boxed food items in the collection box in the library entrance.

The items most needed include all types of canned soup, pasta side dishes like Knorr’s, any kind of cereal, instant oatmeal, pancake mix and grape or strawberry jelly.

The library’s fall book and bake sale will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 2 and 3.

The library will be holding a 50/50 raffle, with the drawing noon Oct. 3.

Join us to celebrate the season during our fall festival 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 17. We will start the festivities with storytime with Janice 11 a.m.-noon.

There will also be pumpkin decorating, face painting, whimsical balloon art, corn hole and more. Refreshments will be available.

Stop by for the teen and adult coloring group 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Registration is not required.

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. If you don’t have a library card, stop in and register; it only takes a few minutes. Just bring in your driver’s license or other form of ID with your current address.

Library cards are free and may be used at 12 other libraries in Lehigh and Carbon counties. You can even request an item from the other libraries and have it sent here.

New sign-ups will get a special prize, while supplies last.
