The Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be holding bingo Sept. 27. Bingo starts 1 p.m., and doors open noon.

Bingo will continue with tricky tray, 50/25/25 raffle, piggy number, lightning game and more. There will be refreshments available for purchase.

Bring a donation of a nonperishable food item or paper product such as facial tissues, paper towels or toilet paper for the Whitehall Food Pantry and receive a strip of specials to be played on the first four specials.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., will hold a bag sale from Sept. 28 to Oct. 10 on everything in the shop. To fill a large brown paper bag is $5 and to fill a large white plastic kitchen bag is $8.

The shop’s regular hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association and Mrs. Nothstein’s Helping Hands is having a pierogie fundraiser. There is a limited quantity being offered for pre-sale, with pickup set for Sept. 30 at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 1229 Third St., North Catasauqua.

The organizations are also looking for individuals to help pinch, cook and make the pierogies any time 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 29 at the church. A light lunch will be provided.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will be holding a Victorian tea basket raffle 4-7 p.m. Oct. 2 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 3.

Tickets for the raffle will be drawn Oct. 3, and winners will be notified by phone.

There will be themed baskets, gift certificates and other unique items, as well as a flower and plant corner.

Proceeds will benefit The Kindness Project, which provides free support to foster families by supplying clothing, shoes, car seats, beds and other essential items.
