Freedom, Liberty, and Bethlehem Catholic are busy polishing their clubs and preparing for the postseason ahead.

In the regular season that recently ended, Freedom finished with a 4-8 record, Liberty was 11-4, and Bethlehem Catholic ended 7-8.

The East Penn Conference tournament will be Sept. 22 followed by the district qualifier Sept. 29, and the district tournament Sept. 6.

Mike Evans’ Freedom squad will have three players participating in the postseason league and district tournaments.

Senior Connor Depaolis currently has a 80.1 season average with a season best round of 73. Fellow senior Logan Ritter had a season average of 77.2, but he will not be participating in the postseason tournaments, as he is in Charlotte, North Carolina, enrolled in a junior hockey program.

Evans also will look sophomore Audrina and senior Leah Majumdar will represent Freedom in the girls division. Audrina has a 91.5 average (best round 83) and Leah has an average of 97.3 (best round 91).

“They all can do well,” said Evans. “They are hitting the ball well.”

Liberty head coach Steve Bradley also likes his chances in the playoffs with his consistent crew.

The Hurricanes have been paced by seniors Jake Wachinski and Cam Rodriguez along with junior Andrew Erfle. Wachinski has a 75 average, Erfle is at 77, and Rodriguez is at 78.

“Jake has been playing steadily all season,” said Bradley. “He has been right where he has been all season, and he has been shooting a stroke or two lower at times.

“Andrew has been playing really well, and Cam has been holding his own.”

“Any three of them can go pretty far.”

Bradley stated that he has registered seven golfers for districts.

“All of our guys are capable of doing very well,” added Bradley. “We’ll see what happens.”
