Margaret Bannon, 88, of Northampton, died Aug. 30, 2026.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Heindl) Sommer.

She retired from B. Braun Medical and later worked at Newhard Pharmacy.

She was a lifelong member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa and Scott Schroeder of Northampton and their daughters Lisa Price and husband Dale of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Naomi McClain of Georgia; and a son, Sean and wife Ting of Jupiter, Fla., and their sons Carsten and Carlin; two brothers, Edward Sommer with Peggy and Dennis Sommer with Cheryl; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was predeceased by five siblings, Mary Jandrasits, John Sommer, Joseph Sommer, Anthony Sommer and Alfred Sommer.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
