Hope C. Geary, of Allentown, died Aug. 22, 2026, at Rittenhouse Village at Lehigh Valley in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Albert B. Geary.

Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Hilda (Rodenbach) Koch.

She was a 1946 graduate of Northampton High School.

She was a preschool teacher at Hope Church in Allentown for 25 years and then became the preschool program director at the Allentown YMCA for 10 years before retiring.

She was a longtime member of Frieden’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Center Valley.

She was a former member of Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Reserve Officer Association Ladies and was an active volunteer at Lehigh Valley Literacy Council and Lehigh County Meals on Wheels, as both a consultant and a volunteer.

She is survived by a son, Douglas and wife Joan of Old Hickory, Tenn.; a daughter, Melody DiStefano and husband Frank of Macungie; a sister, Dawn Fisher of Bethlehem; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Kimberly, Jennifer and Alvito; and a great-grandson, Grant.
