Coplay Public Library’s regular hours started Aug. 24.

The library is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Storytime and craft is set for 10:30 a.m. Aug. 28 and Sept. 11 and 25. Registration is not required.

Try your luck with our pull-tab tickets during Coplay Community Days Aug. 28-30. They will be available at the library’s table.

Our adult/family summer reading passport program will end Aug. 29. Bring your completed form to the library to enter to win a special passport basket.

If you visited six libraries, you will be entered into a grand-prize drawing for an iPad! The drawing for our basket is Aug. 29.

We will be showing “Monsters University” Aug. 29, “Panda Bear in Africa” Sept. 12 and “The Brave Little Toaster” Sept. 26.

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. If you don’t have a library card, stop in and register; it only takes a few minutes.

Just bring in your driver’s license or other form of ID with your current address. Library cards are free and may be used at 12 other libraries in Lehigh and Carbon counties.

The library will be holding a 50/50 raffle Sept. 1-Oct. 3. The drawing will be held noon Oct. 3.

The library will be closed Sept. 5-7 for the Labor Day weekend.

We are having a special program featuring a puppeteer from 11 a.m. to noon Sept. 19. The titles for the puppet show are “Don’t Be a Bully, You Chicken” and “The Goat in the Chili Pepper Patch.”

A Giant mobile vaccine clinic will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 22. Vaccines for flu and COVID will be available.

No registration is required. There will be a form to fill out when you arrive. Bring Medicare, medical and prescription cards.

Mark your calendar for the library’s fall book and bake sale. It will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 2 and 3.

We are accepting eyeglasses and hearing aids (in Ziploc bags) for Whitehall Lions Club. Place them in the marked box.

The club does not need eyeglass cases.
