JULY 24

Police responded to a report of harassment in the unit block of South Front Street.

Officers investigated a report of an unattended child in the Giant Food Store parking lot, 202 Chestnut St. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate the vehicle.

A piece of jewelry found near Coplay and South Ruch streets was turned into police.

JULY 25

Traffic stops were conducted in the 600 block of Chestnut Street.

JULY 27

A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles brought police to the area of South Second and Coplay streets.

Officers responded to an animal complaint on Bridge Street.

Suspicious activity involving two people on Bridge Street was reported.

A reported lost dog brought police to the unit block of Tapler Drive. The dog was reunited with its owner.

Multiple traffic stops were conducted at North Second and Chestnut streets, North Front and Chestnut streets and Second and Hokendauqua streets.

JULY 28

Traffic enforcement was conducted at North Second and Chestnut streets, Front and Chestnut streets and Center Street.

JULY 29

Officers arrested Daniel O’Shire for possession of methamphetamine after a motor vehicle stop.

Police took Jennifer Dorsey into custody for operating a motor vehicle with a DUI-suspended license during a traffic stop.

Traffic stops were conducted at Second and Hokendauqua streets.

A citation for violating a local ordinance was issued to a person for soliciting residents in the borough without the required permit.

JULY 30

Traffic stops were conducted at Second and Hokendauqua streets and the 900 block of Chestnut Street.

A welfare check was conducted in the 100 block of South Ninth Street.

Traffic stops were performed in the 900 block of Chestnut Street.

AUG. 1

Police performed multiple traffic stops in the 900 block of Chestnut Street.

AUG. 3

A domestic incident between two people brought officers to South Eighth Street.

Traffic stops were conducted along Chestnut and Hokendauqua streets.

AUG. 4

Police responded to reports of individuals operating motorbikes erratically on South Second and North Fourth streets.

Traffic stops were conducted on Chestnut and Front streets.

AUG. 5

Donato DiBruno, of Catherine Drive, was arrested for simple assault on domestic violence-related charges.

Traffic warnings were issued along Chestnut and South Second streets.

AUG. 6

Officers investigated a report of multiple parked cars being struck on South Front Street.

Traffic stops were conducted in the 900 block of Chestnut Street.

AUG. 7

A report of low-hanging wires brought police to the 1200 block of Chestnut Street.

Officers responded to a report of dogs running loose at Center and South Eighth streets and at South Third and Hokendauqua streets. Both dogs were reunited with their owners.

Police were on the scene of a reported tree on fire caused by a live wire in the 1100 block of Center Street.

Traffic stops were conducted on Chestnut, North Eighth, Center, Front and Hokendauqua streets.

Suspicious activity at Coplay and South Second streets was reported.

AUG. 8

Officers investigated a reported neighbor complaint in the 1100 block of Hokendauqua Street.

A stray dog report brought police to the area near the Coplay-Northampton Bridge. The dog was reunited with its owner.

Police responded to a report of a stolen uninstalled air conditioning unit on South Front Street.

Traffic stops were conducted in the 900 block of Chestnut Street and at Chestnut and North Second streets.

AUG. 9

Officers were on the scene of a reported disturbance in the unit block of North Second Street.

Police responded to a report of people on a dirt bike and ATV on the roads near Balliet Stadium.
