Fleeing police

A 40-year-old male, of Breinigsville, was taken into custody and charged with felony fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving under the influence, driving under suspension and having an unregistered vehicle after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Broadway July 24, according to Salisbury police. The vehicle was stopped for a suspended registration and the driver allegedly fled from officers through multiple side streets within Fountain Hill borough. The driver then allegedly stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. “After a several block foot pursuit, officers apprehended the male,” according to a press release from Salisbury police.

Assault

A 47-year-old male was taken into custody after he allegedly struck another person, causing injuries, in a residence in the 1200 block of Lehigh Avenue July 26, according to Salisbury police.

Drug possession

A 24-year-old female, of Lebanon, Pa., allegedly was in possession of marijuana when the vehicle in which she was a passenger was stopped by officers along Interstate 78 near Summit Lawn Aug. 2, according to Salisbury police. The vehicle was stopped after police learned “the vehicle was wanted in connection with a felony incident in New York state,” according to authorities.

DUI

A 20-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence, driving on roadways laned for traffic, obedience to traffic control devices and a minor prohibited from driving, operating or being in physical control of a motor vehicle with any measurable amount of alcohol in their system after a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Emmaus Avenue Aug. 1, according to Salisbury police.

Warrant arrests

A 29-year-old male was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant after a traffic stop in the area of Marlow Street at Lehigh Avenue July 29, according to Salisbury police.

A 27-year-old male, of Stewartsville, N.J., was taken into Salisbury police custody in a correctional facility in Delaware County Aug. 3 on charges “stemming from an incident in March,” according to Salisbury police. Charges include three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver (drugs), one felony count of possessing a firearm with an altered manufacturer’s number, possession of a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and a stop sign violation, according to authorities.

Hit-and-run accident

A vehicle struck a 2018 Jeep parked in the 3100 block of Berger Street and left the scene, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Aug. 3.

Disturbances

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Piccadilly Circle for a disturbance between neighbors after one neighbor’s dog urinated on the other neighbor’s car tire July 28, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers were called to a disturbance concerning car keys at a residence in the 1000 block of East Susquehanna Street July 25, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of East Susquehanna Street Aug. 2, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Mutual aid

Salisbury police officers assisted Fountain Hill Police at the Fountain Hill Pharmacy, 1049 Broadway, for a disturbance inside the pharmacy July 26, according to Salisbury police.

A Salisbury K-9 officer and K-9 assisted Bethlehem City Police in the area of West Lehigh Street at Main Street in Bethlehem City at a traffic stop July 31, according to Salisbury police.

Salisbury police officers assisted Fountain Hill Police at a disturbance at a residence in the 1300 block of Russell Avenue Aug. 2, according to Salisbury police.

Vehicle fire

Salisbury police officers assisted firefighters at a vehicle fire in the area of 33rd Street SW at Piccadilly Circle July 29, according to Salisbury. The fire was brought under control by fire personnel and no injuries were reported, according to authorities.

Criminal mischief

A person from the 3300 block of Capital Street reported someone damaged the exterior of their vehicle overnight July 30, according to Salisbury police.

A person from the 1000 block of Debbie Lane reported someone deflated tires on their vehicle overnight July 31, according to Salisbury police.

Suspicious person

A resident in the 1900 block of Greenwood Road saw a male walking through his yard on two separate occasions, during the day and at night Aug. 3, according to Salisbury police. When confronted, the male claimed he was on the property because he had lost his cat and his bicycle. Residents are encouraged to call 911 immediately if they observe or suspect anyone acting suspicious on or near their property.

Counterfeit money

Someone used a counterfeit $100 bill at salon Holiday Hair, South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., July 29, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported July 30.

Traffic safety enforcement

On July 28 Salisbury officers teamed with Allentown City Police as part of a joint traffic safety enforcement agreement. The agreement allows city officers to assist township officers within Salisbury Township and township officers to assist city officers within Allentown, specifically for traffic enforcement efforts. A total of 41 traffic stops were conducted, resulting in 31 traffic citations being issued, according to authorities.

Unsecured load

An Allentown motorist was cited for not securing loads in vehicles after metal roofing fell from his truck and struck another vehicle in the 2800 block of South Pike Avenue Aug. 3, according to Salisbury police.
