Back-to-school prep underway in Salisbury
This is crazy to write but we are almost mid-August and that means …. almost back-to-school time!
Orientation for kindergarten, fifth and ninth grade students will be held Aug. 24. All students will report to their respective schools Aug. 25. There will be no school for all Salisbury Township School District students Sept. 4 or Sept. 7.
Device distribution will occur Aug. 26. All students will receive their device for the school year.
Students in kindergarten through fourth grade will receive an iPad and students in grades five through 12 will receive a MacBook Air laptop.
It is requested that all students come prepared that day with their completed device agreement form A, handbook consent form and the optional insurance fee for device pickup. Remember, device insurance is optional. However, without it, you could be responsible for any repair costs during the school year.
The Salisbury Township School District is happy to announce the school district will continue to offer the Community Eligibility Provision. This means for the 2026-2027 school year, all students are eligible for a free breakfast and lunch. The only requirement is that the student must take three of five items. Students can still use funds in their lunch accounts for snacks and a la carte items.
The Sapphire Community Portal with student information for school is expected to update Aug. 12. This portal information will include bus timing as well as student schedules and homerooms. Please make sure you are registered in advance for the Sapphire Community Portal as this is vital to communicate with your student’s school.
