The Northern Valley Senior Connie Mack team concluded its 2026 season last week with three games in as many days after a 10-day break. The Chargers won their first game of the week and were defeated in the final two.

Northern Valley started its week with a 16-1 victory in three innings at home over Saylorsburg last Wednesday, July 8, but then lost 5-1 at Southern Lehigh on Thursday and fell 7-0 at home to Lehigh Bethlehem the following night to conclude the week.

In the win over the Sailors, the Chargers scored in bunches early, bringing home six runs in the bottom of the first inning, eight more in the second and two in the third to end the game early via mercy rule. NV did all of that scoring and only finished with six hits, but worked 13 walks.

Jacob Spatz and Ben Storch both finished with two hits and two RBIs to lead the lineup. Storch also scored three runs, while Spatz touched home twice.

Brandon Gonzalez recorded a three-run triple and Tanner Fronina ended with a hit, an RBI and scored two runs. Evan Miller and Henry Fitzgerald both tallied an RBI and Connor Hausman scored a run.

Richie Reinhart earned the win on the mound, throwing all three innings, giving up just four hits, while striking out two batters.

In the game with the Spartans, the Chargers actually held an early lead, scoring the game’s first run in the top of the fourth inning on an RBI single from Ryan Ebeling.

That was all of the scoring the rest of the way for the visitors, while Southern Lehigh answered with a five-run bottom of the fourth, and that was all that they needed to secure the win.

The Chargers finished with four hits, as Gonzalez, Fronina, Ebeling and Fitzgerald each had one. Gonzalez scored the lone run on Ebeling’s hit.

Stats for the game with Lehigh Bethlehem were not made available at the time of print.

Northern Valley finished the year with a 4-13 overall record.
