North Parkland got a quick hook out of the Lehigh Valley Legion playoffs with back-to-back losses in the double elimination tournament.

The Buffaloes lost to Lower Macungie and then to South Parkland as their offense was unable to figure out the opposing pitching they faced.

Lower Mac and South Parkland were the top two teams during the league’s regular season and they played in the LVL tournament finals Monday and Tuesday. The Mustangs beat regular season champ SP in the tournament finals.

Lower Macungie defeated North Parkland 2-0 even though starter Steven Sepko allowed just three hits and one walk to go with 10 strikeouts over six innings. Three infield errors led to both Lower Macungie runs being unearned and was the difference in the game.

The Parkland offense managed just three hits against starter Cole Moreau. Tsubasa Magota, Leo Dauberman, and Jared Santilli all singled and Magota added a walk in the game.

Knowing they had no wiggle room, the Buffaloes had to take on regular season champion South Parkland needing a win to move on in the tournament. This time the defense did their job but the North Parkland offense struggled to find hits against pitcher Mack Parsell, who allowed four hits and no walks over seven innings of work.

Nate Unger allowed four runs over five innings of work and Chase Smith allowed a run in the sixth as the Trojans put the game away 5-1.

Dauberman had a pair of singles while Unger and Aiden Henning added singles in the game. North Parkland got its only run of the game in the top of the fourth when Peyton Scherff reached on an error to open the inning and Henning followed with a single to left to put runners on the corners for Unger who lifted a fly ball to center to bring in Scherff with an unearned run.

North Parkland finished the season 8-9 in the middle of the LVL standings. The Buffaloes were the defending Region 2 champions and went to the semifinals of the state Legion tournament last year before being eliminated.
