Louise M. Karoly, 88, of Whitehall, died July 19, 2026, at home after a recent cancer diagnosis. She was the wife of the late Stephen J. Karoly Sr.

Born in Sayre, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Concettina Rossillo.

She graduated from Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing in 1958 as a registered nurse.

She worked for almost 40 years at the former Allentown Osteopathic Hospital and at Fellowship Manor.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown.

She is survived by two sons, Mark and wife Marian of Fogelsville and Stephen Jr. and wife Kelly of Alexandra, Va.; a daughter, Susan of Whitehall; a brother, Anthony and wife Cindy of Sayre; five grandchildren, Katelyn Mertz, Stephen Mertz with Stephanie, Matthew with Kenzie, Olivia and Jack; and two great-grandchildren, Norah and Chelsie Mertz.

She was predeceased by a sister, Lena Kingsley; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Mertz.
