Whitehall Township Public Library, 3700 Mechanicsville Road, hosted an exciting evening as children were invited to the Dinosaur Adventure Show. Paleontologists Mike and Roberta Straka presented their program June 23 to a packed audience of both children and adults.

As paleontologists, the Strakas study all fossilized past life, such as corals, fish, mammals and plant life, but they clearly love dinosaurs.

The Dinosaur Adventure Show is an interactive program that engages children in dinosaur discovery. Participants visualized the length of a dinosaur’s tail by stretching a ribbon across the room and compared dinosaur teeth to familiar objects. Children eagerly volunteered to dig up a real triceratops bone and help assemble a dinosaur from a large cutout.

Dinosaur Adventure Show is part of the public library summer reading program.
