Salisbury Township teacher
Walter Irvin Williams, 86, of Bethlehem, died June 23, 2026. He was born in Summit Hill, the son of the late Walter and Catherine (Miller) Williams married to the late Anna M. (Ruehlman) Williams, for 60 years.
He was a graduate of Summit Hill HS, received a bachelor of arts from Moravian College, and a master of arts from Lehigh University.
Walter served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He dedicated 29 years of his life to teaching, having worked at Salisbury Township School District as a Music Teacher.
He was also a faithful member of Bethany UCC Church, Bethlehem.
He is survived by; daughters, Beth Meckley and her companion Brian Keller, Jennifer Meckley and her husband Todd, and Amy Lambert and her husband Luke; grandchildren, Garrett Meckley and his fiancé Abigail Yoder, McKenna Meckley and Mavryk Meckley; sister: Beverly Tridente. He was predeceased by; siblings Ronald Williams, Gerald Williams, Elizabeth “Betty” Briner, Kenneth Williams and Robert Williams.
