William J. Schlener, 74, of Allentown and formerly of Catasauqua, died May 31, 2026, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown.

Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Dieter) Schlener.

He was a 1969 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He was last employed by BFI Waste Services, Allentown, as a dispatcher for several years before retiring in 1990.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Donald P. Sr.

Services will be held privately.
