Every assist and every goal mattered in two recent wins for the Northwestern Lehigh girls lacrosse team.
The Tigers edged Freedom 9-8 and then defeated Easton 13-12.
In the win over Easton, Northwestern took an early two-goal lead and by halftime it had stretched it to a 7-4 advantage. The Red Rovers fought back and the two teams went into the final quarter tied 9-9.
The fourth quarter proved to be the wildest one of the game with the Tigers outlasting Easton and winning 13-12.
Northwestern had to overcome a five-goal game by Rowan Krieger to get the victory. Cali Colistra, Ella Schmidt and Mykaela Yanders each scored three goals in the game for Northwestern with Colistra also assisting on a goal.
Ella Collins and Madelyn Lagowy both had three assists in the game with Lagowy getting two goals and Collins adding a goal for the Lady Tigers. Olivia Fagan had a goal and Amanda Bollinger had a pair of assists.
Goalie Ashley Yacynych, a junior, had five saves in the win for Northwestern.
No individual results were available for the win over Freedom or for an 18-6 loss that Northwestern suffered against Nazareth.
